On the Issues
↑ TopThe answers below were solicited from candidates via a written questionnaire created by WyoFile reporters and editors in June 2026. Responses are presented exactly as submitted, without fact-checking, wordsmithing or editing for grammar, punctuation or spelling errors.
Legislative candidates were invited to respond to the questionnaire several times by email and by phone. Out of fairness to the candidates who met the deadline, WyoFile will not add responses after the guide's publication.
Where do you live currently? How long have you lived there? How long have you lived in Wyoming? Where were you born?
Thermopolis Wy, 6 Years, Born in Northwest Nebraska just across the border. Spent my life on a horse and I could out rope anyone!
What age will you be on Election Day, Nov. 3, 2026?
51
Please tell the voters about yourself including your background and qualifications.
I got involved in politics when the Dobbs leak came out. If the supreme court stacked the way it is can start taking away rights, what right is next. Not in 60 years have human right been revoked, but they did it. My one vote in ruby red Wyoming won't do any good, but some activism and giving people a choice at a smaller level might be able to make a difference at the state level that could work its way from Cheyenne to DC. Change starts small and talking to your neighbor, but we MUST TALK!
What are the biggest challenges and opportunities facing Wyoming today? As a legislator, how would you address them?
Listening to each other and allowing both to complete a sentence. In talking to people about my views on various issues, I never get to the period...
We asked WyoFile readers to rank issues that are important to them, and healthcare costs and access topped the list. What can the Legislature do to make healthcare more affordable and accessible to Wyomingites?
Support rural healthcare. If Prop 1 passes it will drag rural healthcare days cash on hand dangerously low which will lead to many closures!!! Pass Mediacare For All! Insurance Lobbyists are lining pockets to keep it from passing in Cheyenne. If you vote "yes" on Prop 1, by this time next year the regret will loom...
Do you support efforts to sell or transfer public land in Wyoming? How do you plan to ensure that state and federal land is managed in the best interest of the people of Wyoming?
Absolutely NOT. The state of Wyoming is funded with a very large percentage of federal tax dollars on each acre of those federal lands annually. I don't know about the common HD 28 resident but I don't have the cash on hand to buy that land. If we allow the billionaires buy the land, the state will not get any federal money here to fore. We will go broke and that pothole you need filled or that snowy street you need plowed or that hospital used to have but is now 2 hours away and the only person that can drive you there is you there is your closest neighbor when you suffer a heart event, vote yes on Prop 1. You won't live you regret it!
No two Wyoming counties are the same when it comes to how they generate revenue. As a legislator, how would you approach the public's desire for property tax relief with local revenue needs?
I support ending property taxes on anyone that is eligible for Medicare IF they are not showing profits from their business. If they are showing excessive write-offs on their taxes for farm and cattle equipment then they should pay property taxes. This would take extra auditors but it would catch those that try to cheat a system.
What role, if any, should the Wyoming Legislature play in economic development?
Wyoming Legislature should act the shoulder for every community to band together and find any all funds and grants to get monies to any communities. I get sick and tired of driving through Thermop and seeing so many shuttered buildings, paying more attention to the next pothole, knowing its not the city or county problem because we lost 2+ million in revenue last election! Good job dudes...
Explain your values when it comes to campaign donations. Does Wyoming's system for monitoring campaign donations and expenditures need reform?
There needs to caps established on campaign reforms. Spending millions and millions and millions to buy an election on TV ads is why we are all getting poorer. We are in the bottom rung of the "K" economy, and billionaires are laughing at us from the top part of the "K" throwing their scraps at us!!!
