I live on the family farm west of Lingle. I have lived here my entire life (46 years). I was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

I am a lifelong Goshen County resident and third-generation family farmer from Lingle. I graduated from Lingle-Fort Laramie High School and then attended EWC before earning my undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Wyoming. I currently practice law in Torrington while actively working on my family’s cattle feeding and farming operation near Lingle. My hands-on experience as an agricultural producer and attorney gives him practical, firsthand knowledge of the challenges facing Goshen County families, including private property rights, water rights, taxes, and regulatory burdens. I served for ten years on the Lingle-Fort Laramie Conservation District Board, and I am an active member of the Torrington Rotary Club. I have been married for 22 years to my wife Caren. We have three daughters, Natalie, Charlotte, and Lydia. I am a strong supporter of local youth activities and regularly attend my daughters’ sporting events.

The two greatest opportunities before Wyoming today are our people and our resources. The world is hungry for the energy, agricultural products, and natural resources Wyoming produces, positioning our state to power the economy of tomorrow. At the same time, we are blessed with a talented, energetic generation of young people. As a legislator, I will champion policies that retain our youth in Wyoming. I support strong education and career training, expanded trade and technical programs, and a pro-growth regulatory environment that allows businesses to thrive and create opportunity for our families. By keeping our kids in Wyoming and responsibly developing our resources, we will build a stronger, more prosperous future.

In our vast rural state, too many families face high prices, long travel distances, and shortages of doctors and specialists. As a legislator, I will work to make care more affordable and accessible by expanding telemedicine so Wyomingites can access providers even in rural communities, strengthening our healthcare workforce through targeted incentives to attract and retain doctors, nurses, and specialists, and combating high costs by requiring clear pricing and eliminating unnecessary regulations that drive up costs.

I do not support the wholesale sale of Wyoming's public lands to private interests. These lands belong to the people and must serve the needs of the people. I support a multiple use strategy including energy development, agricultural use, recreation, and hunting. As a legislator, I will support transfer of management authority over suitable federal lands from Washington to the State of Wyoming. Our state has a proven track record of responsible stewardship and local control resulting in decisions that reflect the needs and values of Wyomingites rather than national environmental agendas.

The government has constitutional obligations to the public. Taxes should never be more than is necessary to meet these obligations. As a legislator, I will work closely with our local leaders, special districts, municipalities, and school districts to ensure that tax revenues collected are narrowly tailored to meet our mandated obligations.

The Wyoming Legislature's role in economic development is to create an environment where businesses, entrepreneurs, and families can thrive without picking winners and losers with taxpayer subsidies. Government's job is to get out of the way. We should focus on fair taxes, reasonable regulations, quality infrastructure, and a skilled workforce. As a legislator, I will support regulatory reform, workforce education and development, responsible resource development, pro-growth tax policies, and strategic infrastructure investment. True economic prosperity comes from free enterprise and innovation, not government programs.

When it comes to campaign donations, transparency, integrity, and respect for free speech is important. I welcome support from individuals, businesses, and organizations who share my commitment to high moral values, fair tax policy, and responsible resource development. Additionally, voters have a right to know who supports a candidate. Therefore, I am committed to prompt and full disclosure of every donation I receive.
